Planter Rotomolding Powder
Rotational molding is a specific process that begins with the formation of a mold. Because each half of the mold is a mirror image of the other half, they fit together perfectly, forming a hollow center that mimics the shape of the item being made.
How do we prepare rotomoulded powder for planters?
Fill the mold with resin powder, seal it, and put it in a special oven heated to about 500-650°F. The actual temperature you use will depend on the type of product you are making, the size of the product, and the baking time required. When the mold is placed in the oven for cooking, the mechanical arms rotate around the X and Y axes. The result is a full 360-degree movement, with no details or corners left unfilled or unfinished. It evenly melts and covers the last inch of the mold to form a perfectly shaped planter with imperfections. No dents or cracks and the finished product has strong rims, edges, and corners.

The machine arm is programmed to do what is called an "index" or sequential shuffle. An arm in the oven moves into the cooling chamber, and an arm in the cooling chamber rotates outward to remove the finished product and resin replenishment.

Once the molds are fully cooked, they are removed from the oven into a cooling chamber where they are rinsed with treated water. When it arrives at the workstation thoroughly rinsed, a special tool is used to remove the finished product from the mold.
